Julie Tilsner, a talented Los Angeles-based writer, needed a new web site presence to showcase her wide range of projects. She also needed to spruce up her culinary blog, Bad Home Cooking.
Rambillo handled both projects. We designed and built her new website with quirky and fun design elements that compliment her personal style while aiming to keep her web presence simple to navigate and clean in appearance and flow.
The website is housed in the latest version of WordPress using Julie’s existing hosting provider. A succinct suite of WordPress plugin’s useful to manage the site with are installed and managed by Rambillo. Each plugin enabled with the site is fully vetted by Rambillo to insure things like compatibility, excellence in SEO results, and to generally ensure fault tolerance and robustness in maintaining site availability, all the while complementing Rambillo’s custom design.
For her culinary blog, also a WordPress web platform, we evaluated what was working and what would benefit from improvement—moving some design elements, enhancing others, and developing improved functionality in a number of areas—all with an eye to improve the website’s flow and useability. We also worked to create significant enhancements to her blog’s search engine optimization (SEO), improved social sharing capabilities with sites like Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest, as well as reorganized content to develop a useful Recipe section for users to share and take away.
